Long Drive (Foat Wuth, Texas, United States)

Dog-gone-gone-and-dunnit..AGAIN.
Been fascinated with the CB world most of my life. My Pops got me started at an early age, used to sit out in his drive way in west Texas at about the age of 10 maybe 11 (on nights he suggested would be a good skip nite) and talk all hours of the nite. Some moring he'd come out and run me out of the car so he could go to werk. RIP "fatboy" you are missed everyday.
Been out of it for the better part of 15 yrs. as my J-O-B takes me all over the great state of Texas, some long hours on the road. I've decide arguing with the GPS when I'm tired of sing to myself is not a healthy thearapy. So after kicking it around I've started piecing together stuff, started with a new outta the box Uniden pro 520xl(was sitting on the parts mangers desk and I talked him outta of it,the price was right) after surfing the WWW I think it'll do for now great reviews. contemplating the Wilson 'lil will' (again good reviews)mag mount antenna as it will be shuffled between two work rides and my personal. Gonna get it talking right then start playing i.e tweaked and tuned,echo and talk back. going low budget to see if the interest is still there.
ok ramble OFF, thanks for listening... Oh yea just joined the site read a bit before registering...Think me will stay a spell I like it.

My thought for the day" Nobody likes to be behind a load of golf carts and guess what they don't want to be in front of one either" the servie road is 60' feet to your righ

Would have to be some short east/west skip to catch ya in DXland from western WA. but ya never know in the world of RF.
